You see, your body thinks that you are in a situation where there is very little food which is why fasting or low calorie diets are of little use.

If you are serious about wanting to know how to lose weight quickly yet still stay healthy and avoid your body storing up fat, the best diet focuses on eating very healthy food. Simply by eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and eating whole grains instead of white carbohydrates, you will begin to lose weight. It is also a good idea to include low glycemic foods in your diet. Low glycemic foods take a long time to break down. You should also pass on simple sugars and saturated fats and saturated fats are stored on your body and simple sugars end up being stored as fat also. Low glycemic foods on the other hand keep your blood sugar levels stable and stimulate the production of glucagon, which is the hormone that instructs the body to burn fat.
